After setting up the RTX 3080, a new issue emerged—sound cuts out suddenly for brief periods across the whole system. It seems the sound processing froze temporarily, then resumed without any audio being played back, as if mute was applied. This problem first appeared when using the ASUS Xonar AE sound card, and later with multiple RTX series cards in the PC shop. My previous GTX 1070 worked perfectly with no such issues. All drivers are up to date, and the motherboard BIOS is current. DxDiag.txt
Current soundcard drivers are available online and can be downloaded from reputable sources.
Are you turning off your monitor's audio output device? This is usually necessary to prevent it from taking over your speakers or wireless headphones. I do this only during the initial GPU driver installation. Additionally, check the PCIe versions to determine if your 3080 is consuming too many lanes. Since you have a Ryzen 3000 but no motherboard listed, the RTX 3080 is a PCIe 4.0 card. Depending on how your board allocates PCIe lanes, your GPU might be using them for itself. Adjusting the PCIe version or settings in the UEFI could resolve this issue.
