It offers some benefits but also has drawbacks. The visible rankings attract many players, yet they also bring in more "undesirable" individuals and those who exploit the ranking system without much interest in the game. It feels more like a gambling addiction.
However, you're unaware of the individuals you can interact with confidently. Engaging with silver may lead to significant neurological harm.
Each level has its own issues. It's not just about silvers. I usually didn't have many problems with silver, but gold tends to bring more trouble. People who seem rude because of how long you play are often annoying. I've been reported for hacking since I had a lot of kills early on and played under 20 hours. I don't get why folks keep making excuses so much.
It's tough, but you're aiming high—just two ranks below DMG and targeting it. Right now, your total CSGO hours are under 500. I think SEM-GN3 is a bit of a stretch; I know a friend who’s GN1 and he struggled with his setup. He thought his old laptop was the issue, but it wasn’t the core i3 that caused the problem—it was the low specs. When I first started, my machine ran at 17-45 FPS on 480p, which was a real setback.
It's not about rudeness, it's a serious issue with brainpower and skill. I was extremely effective at 600 hits per second right away, but that doesn't mean it's easy. People in the MG group can aim reasonably well, though they don’t have proper game sense. I can’t help them understand how pushes function.
The main issue is my inconsistency—sometimes I'm better than my rank, other times I'm overworking my aim and still failing, and then there are games where the team is so weak you question how they even reach that level. Players in MG2-MGE are often playing below Silver Elite Master, which isn't surprising.
I was accused of hacking when I became clutch master at GNM... the person got really angry at me when he flashed site B, but it came behind me just a split second and I quickly took him out as he pushed from the tunnels. He said... even with a flash, it was cheating... Some of that action is in the video below. 28/5 K/D maybe.
