If you add that extra RAM, it could potentially lower the CAS latency and frequency, bringing the clock speed up to around 3000MHz for CL18 processors and 3600MHz for CL16. However, this would likely only happen in ideal conditions. Because these chips are from different manufacturers with possibly mismatched components, they might not work well together, leading to instability or performance issues.

I understand. I’ll replace the 2x8 with a 2x16. If needed, I’ll purchase an additional 2x16 of the same size.

Are you requiring 64GB? If you were okay with 32GB, I’d have purchased a different setup and had more compact options. Without understanding your specific needs, it’s challenging to offer the right guidance.
