Improving your system's memory capacity.
Hi everyone, My motherboard model is Asus Prime A320M-K. I currently have Corsair Vengeance LX 8 GB (two 4 GB modules). I plan to upgrade to a 16 GB stick (Corsair Vengeance LX 16 GB). Can I add another stick to reach a total of 24 GB? I understand my board supports up to 32 GB, but I only have two RAM slots. Appreciate your help!
Stick with the same DIMM for upgrades. Trying to change something like the capacity is just going to give you issues, and there's no guarantee you'll ever get it to work properly. If you want more RAM, throw out the 8GB stick and go with a 16x2 kit. However, you probably don't need more than 16GB. Having more RAM than you need does nothing for you.
