It's fascinating how much variation exists here. I noticed clear changes in core clock speed with each EDC adjustment. Running a stress test in CPU-Z showed cores stabilizing around 4.4GHz near 170-180, but once I hit that range, they consistently reached 4.58-4.6GHz.
I really admire Asus! This board has been with me since November last year... back then I was counting on beta BIOS updates every seven months, always hoping for the big upgrade. They quickly posted the new versions and I remember my heart racing when I installed them. For about 15 years I've stuck with Intel, only getting minor BIOS changes. So far I've tried around ten different models. The performance is still solid, though it's a bit confusing what's going on.
