Switching from Ryzen 5 1600 to 3600X involved taking out the stock cooler completely. It’s stuck tightly, and I’ve tried forcing it out with too much pressure, but I don’t want to damage anything since I plan to sell it. Need advice?

Execute it for a short duration to let the CPU warm up, which should make removal simpler once the thermal paste reaches temperature.

haven't used it before, but i don't understand the reason. just being cautious with the more fragile parts.

It functioned. I assumed it wouldn't, so I adjusted to bring back the cooler, and then it began to come off.

I confirmed my cooler became lodged on a 3700x, removed it from the CPU, and it damaged four pins.

For better results, gently rotate the item a few times in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions before attempting to lift it.
