It's straightforward but be careful not to drain power while updating the BIOS. If the system loses power during a BIOS update, it may become unusable. For your board, refer to page 47 in the MANUAL. When creating the USB on your current PC, you're free to use any available port—no need to follow step 1's instructions about using a specific floppy drive. When updating the BIOS with the flashback feature on the new board, ensure you connect via the designated flashback port.

You can check with your nearby store about having the correct bios for the 5800x3d. If not, you can request they update it (most will agree).

Yes, once you resolve the BIOS issue, you'll need to physically install the new components and reinstall Windows if required.

Install the updated components and test whether your system boots using the existing Windows setup. It should work once Windows completes its routine updates and recognizes new hardware. If it fails, create a USB drive containing a fresh Windows installation and transfer it to reinstall.

They won't work if the motherboard stays in an unknown store for too long. If Asus delivered boards to stores in 2020, they wouldn't have the BIOS prepared for a 5800X3D.

I verified the packaging upon receiving the order, and it was only produced in March this year. The item arrived promptly.
