OC it (I don’t know much about overclocking i5 IGPs). With textures you need a lot of speed. My old GPU can boost the core but memory remains the main issue. Also, you can run games, including indie titles. Kerbal Space Program is 40% off on Steam, and there are games like Volo Airsport, Fallout NVR, Skyrim, etc.—many with lower graphics but still enjoyable.
Most of my collection is built around the Source engine, though I’m skeptical Portal would function given the stuttering and lag on the CS:GO interface. I also attempted Gauntlet (reboot) and the menu felt like dragging a mouse through treacle! Probably time to try MAME.
