I currently have the R5 3600. And somehow there's a company here that has a nice deal, the R5 5600 for $140... Can it increase game FPS like PUBG? Or it's more GPU dependent? Also, the 5600 is almost identical to the 5600X in performance right? Like there's no reason to get 5600X at all now that the 5600 exists I'm just trying to get excuses to buy it.. I don't need it, I don't need it...

No, I'm not satisfied with the performance you receive from your 3600.

It really makes a difference in CPU-heavy games. From what I recall, PUBG performance improved noticeably with better CPUs, though I haven’t played in a while. The upgrade costs around $140, but you’d get about 3600s for roughly $100. That’s a solid boost—around 15-20% more speed—without breaking the bank. You don’t have to buy it if you’re just looking for a fresh upgrade; otherwise, it’s a great value for the performance gain.

Thanks! Also, if you don’t manage to sell it, I was considering using the empty B450 and getting another PC. I already have one with older Intel, which works fine for its purpose, but another great machine for $140? That sounds smart.

In that scenario, and if you don't care about the money, take it.

I believe you're not requiring it. Could you share your RAM stick speed? PUBG seems to rely more on RAM speed and GPU than on CPU.

Selling the 3600 usually means paying around $20, which makes sense to me. Make sure to update the BIOS before putting in the new CPU. The performance change varies based on your GPU.

This claim isn't entirely accurate. Games that gain from RAM speed tend to perform better with faster CPUs as well. The Ryzen 5000 series chips offer a more efficient cache system compared to the Ryzen 3000 series, meaning data is typically accessed from cache rather than RAM. While it doesn't negate the benefit, choosing a higher-end CPU like the 5600 with a 3200MHz CL16 kit or a slower model instead of a 3600 with a dual-rank Samsung B die could yield significantly better performance in games.
