The Enhanced Multi-Core Performance setting controls how the CPU handles multiple cores. It doesn't necessarily let the CPU run at full turbo on all cores at once—it adjusts power management features to optimize performance based on workload. The "Auto" option typically determines whether the system uses the default settings or a preset profile, switching between enabled and disabled modes automatically depending on conditions.

Both options help conserve power. The Multi Core Enhancement works alongside precision improvements that aim to increase performance up to the thermal limits before reaching silicon constraints. It's not as advanced as AMD's solutions, and managing heat becomes more challenging. Make sure you install a robust cooling solution. I've disabled it. I haven't seen any board with MCE enabled by choice.

The BIOS default is set to enable MCE for optimal performance, but you prefer not to use it. However, C-states are still available for stability purposes. You can keep them active even if you disable MCE, though this may affect speed and stability. Disabling MCE will turn off C-states, so you’ll need to re-enable them when you want the benefits of those features.

The instructions from Gigabyte are quite unclear. It’s not clear if clearing the CMOS happens after updating the BIOS, and there seems to be a missing update for you.
