On my Xbox I experience around 60-70 ping on that server, but when I switch to PC gaming my ping jumps to 90-100 even though the PC and internet connection are the same. Better antennas for my PC might help? I don’t want a long Ethernet cable connecting my PC to the router either.

Did not establish identical connection to the server. The problem seems unrelated to antenna issues.

Check the modem in your home. It’s likely the ping is fast—usually under 1 ms on cable. This is the part you can influence. The rest depends on the distance between your modem and the server you’re using.

DNS doesn't affect ping performance. It handles domains like google.com and converts them into IP addresses. The resulting information is stored temporarily on your device.

DNS plays no role in ping operations. A slow DNS server can delay the first lookup when converting a host name to an IP address, which may cause the initial connection to the game server to lag. Once the IP is resolved and the link is established, DNS becomes irrelevant. The ping you observe while playing is unrelated to DNS activity. If your ping score increases, consider factors like server distance, load on the game server, or changes in your internet service provider routing.
