I purchased Evolve and observed that regardless of graphics settings or AA enabled, the frame rate stays around 30fps. V-sync isn't active. Your system runs a 4790k at 4.8ghz and a 780 ti at 1165mhz. Does anyone else experience this, or is it unique to you?
It's unusual not to have the latest drivers. I managed to run it at High settings with a single 770 during an early alpha phase (no SLI profile available, so only one could be used due to problems). Have you looked at temperatures and hardware usage?
This mechanic is common across various titles, so you're not seeing it exclusively in one game.
It's all about Evolve. The game appears smooth and runs at high frame rates. However, Steam reports around 30-40 FPS, while I experienced 85-90 FPS during Alpha with TXAA enabled. My GPU stays below 65°C, and the CPU performance is stable. I've installed the latest drivers.
You can adjust settings in the control panel. Sometimes removing GFX Experience helps. Ambient occlusion is managed by the app. Antistropic filtering can be set to x16 or application controlled. Antialiasing options vary by game—usually not needed, so off or app controlled. Gamma correction is on for antialiasing. Antialiasing mode should be application controlled unless the game struggles with it. Transparency can be maximized. GPU settings are all enabled if permitted. Multi-display acceleration is not fully confirmed; one monitor suggests single performance. Power-saving mode prioritizes performance. Texture filtering uses negative LOD bias and high quality. Threading is auto, triple buffering is on if Vsync is active. Vertical sync remains on or app controlled to prevent tearing, which can cause input lag in older games.
There seems to be no way to secure the frame rate. *Not Visync*
