You have a mix of older and newer components. You’re considering using the same Windows installation you’re currently running, which would let you keep everything connected without a full reinstall. Just make sure the new parts are compatible with your existing setup. If you’re unsure, a clean install might be safer to avoid any conflicts.
You should be okay. Feel free to give it another shot if it doesn't work.
I'm still uncertain. I attempted to upgrade my GPU from 560Ti to 660, but the drivers conflicted with the OS, which forced me to perform a clean install. Now I'm just being careful.
Win10 might struggle with a different motherboard change. Everything else can be adjusted, but drivers often behave strangely after switching. I had to reinstall the OS when changing the motherboard on the same chipset and manufacturer. However, with Windows 7 it seems smoother.
I changed it the previous night and from a software standpoint it's functioning well.
