Your devices are scattered across various formats. Remember that B and b represent distinct units with an 8x difference. A capital B stands for bytes, whereas a lowercase b equals bits. One B equals eight b, and information travels in bits during transfer, even though platforms like Steam or certain browsers might show in bytes, making it seem like only a fraction of the intended speed. Cat5 supports up to 100Mbps, while Cat5e can reach 1000Mbps.

It's a minor detail, yet it's one of those things that really frustrates me as a network engineer

Would you mind checking your router's configuration for features like packet counter or performance monitoring? It seems to track incoming and outgoing packets, though it might not offer much else beyond that. Some users report that disabling these can improve speed.

I didn’t locate any relevant information. This discussion hasn’t been helpful before, and things were much better a few months back.
