GPU, yes, but you will need to use win 7, if so. I run mine and have for well over 15 years. Ram, CPU, no your stuck there, but I will say that old machine, it runs all games , and every bit of game engines, software I have used... I use to now a days for a testing machine and to let the kids use.... but it used to be my main game development, machine for many years.
WHAT? WHAT!?! Take that back. nForce2? Sure, a little crappy. 600 series? Ehhhh... but 700 series on the other hand, oh boy, that was a winner. My EVGA 790i FTW is STILL going strong, it overclocks QXs and even shitty little E8400s like a champ. I ran even cheap 750i boards for fun and those; while not having as many unique features like GTVREL adjustments and stuff, performed really well. And it works with a 3080. A 2080 Ti. A 1080. A 980 Ti.... I can go on. The bottleneck is extreme, don't get me wrong; even when my QX9650 was screaming for death at 4.6, it was pretty much on par with a 4690k and that's about as good as it got. It's not exactly a "great" idea, but if you want to have fun and break some benchmarks, have at it. 700 series boards are chock full of surprises. *EDIT* *UGH* A THREAD NECRO HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT. SHAME.
