I have a 3600x configuration and successfully overclocked it to 4.3ghz across all cores. With the default cooler, it operates around 65-70°C during heavy use and about 40-50°C when idle—acceptable for a stock cooler. It’s stable so far, handling hours of stress tests and real-world tasks like gaming. My main tip is to maintain low voltages; higher voltages cause extreme heating and significant performance loss. I achieved 1728 points on Cinebench R15 with these settings. Raising the voltage slightly improved the score to 1680, but lowering it back restored it to around 1720+. Precision Boost Overdrive is another method—enable it through Ryzen Master or BIOS for better gains. You can also turn on automatic overclocking in the BIOS. I used Ryzen Master for this and included a picture of my profile. Keep in mind that overclock results differ per CPU, but this should give you a clear picture of my approach. Remember to monitor the CPU’s EDC (peak current limit) via the Ryzen Master home tab; it helps prevent crashes by showing when voltages are too high. In fact, Hardcore Overclocking has been sharing guides on adjusting various brand BIOS settings to unlock peak performance from the 3000 series chipsets. Right now they list Gigabyte and Asus options. I’m using a Gigabyte board; it took me around ten minutes to follow their recommendations, and my 3700X performed well. I also did some quick overclocking with Ryzen Master and managed an all-core static OC at 4.325. I observed that when running Cinebench with HW64 enabled, the cores slightly spiked under load without my changes, but overall speed remains higher with the static setup.
