I started my computer today and was thrilled to see the latest update for Witcher 3. I decided to share my initial impressions... The new storage spots are a nice addition. Right away, I cut my inventory in half by removing all the swords I gathered. Yet, alchemy ingredients no longer add any weight, so it doesn’t noticeably change my load. For the alternate Geralt mode, there’s no major difference from the original version. Still, it feels better—though I can’t put a precise word to it. Others probably feel the same. To finish, I should note that after installing the patch, the game reset all my settings (graphics, controls, etc.). That was less bothersome than the endless boot screen when trying to launch my latest save. Not very pleasant at all. Eventually, I had to perform a hard reset, which then forced my MSI afterburner overclock profiles to restart. Once everything settled, the game ran smoothly again. I’m eager to dive back in now that CDPR has added these significant improvements.
