Many individuals dislike EA, even though the recent focus has been on Ubisoft. The issue wasn't their customer support; Valve's was poor, while EA delivered outstanding service. This isn't the first time I've noticed positive remarks about EA's customer care.
It's unusual. I reached out twice to EA support, kept my tone respectful and calm, but both times it was hard to clearly express my problem, let alone get a resolution. The first time happened when I bought Battlefield 3 ages back—I was told to check an email I’d already seen in the FAQ and troubleshooting section. I never got that message. It took me about three attempts just to get there. The second time was with my credit card, again receiving generic instructions I’d read before. When I tried again, a different agent said the problem was on the issuer’s side. I messaged Origin again, asking if my account had been flagged for anything suspicious, but they denied it and then asked if that was enough. The issue remained unresolved, so I ended up going to GMG to buy DA:I. Both times it felt like there was a language gap making the conversation tougher than necessary. I admit, the service quality still seems quite low in my opinion.
Sure, I was given a 15% discount earlier through their customer service, but I didn’t actually get it. Still, the support was great and I was very happy with it.
I consistently received excellent support from EA's team. It's reassuring to know others share this positive experience.
