I installed Yosemite on my rMBP and things deteriorated very fast. If you format the drive (back up your files first!), you can download the OSX version it came with from the internet, but it takes a long time. If you have someone with a Mac, they can use their system to make an OS install USB drive similar to Windows. I’m not comfortable with this method, but I understand it’s feasible. The advantage is avoiding slower servers and getting a newer OS instead of an older one.
