Check your Steam library for 3D benchmarks. Consider running a 980 KPE at 1080P resolution.

I'm setting up PuBg Battle Grounds for FPS purposes, not for competitive play. I haven't played the game before—just curious about the setup. The connection is wireless and spans about 100 feet. Are you using a specific FPS counter? 1080P resolution works fine. Looking forward to seeing what other features match up well.

I'm using 1080p resolution. Steam overlay will be my choice since there are no preset settings available. I'll need to check it out.

It's likely another hour or so. I'm currently stuck on defaults. There are 12 threads running with the CPU, it's using air cooling, and core #4 is overheating. Which clock speed should we aim for?

I can reset everything to the default settings. No changes were made to the CPU, only the XMP profile was applied. It’s running online and stays cool during games like PUBG. This is my first time using an air-cooled setup beyond just testing.

Choose a suitable RAM speed based on your CPU's default settings. At 2133 MHz, you're good to proceed. Finished testing.

As discussed, the maximum I can achieve with the MBOO is 2666 and it has 3600 RAM. That would be great if possible.

We could estimate the variance fairly well, I’m sure. Running at 3600 frames per second is manageable. At 2133mhz Ultra with all settings, it’s around 84fps minimum and 123fps maximum—typically near 100fps. The performance felt quite smooth. Memory doesn’t seem to significantly impact the experience except for boosting FPS, which at 100fps becomes nearly impossible. During the weapons training, I reached 350fps once I noticed the defaults were set to XD, which was a bit surprising.

I'm reviewing everything now. I just need to identify the full-screen issue. What FOV were you testing?
