I was assisting my parents with some computer tasks. They recently switched to Windows 10 and faced a few minor issues with various programs, which I managed to resolve smoothly. The main challenge I’m trying to tackle is improving the picture import process from their camera. On Windows 7, after connecting the camera, the app would prompt for an action labeled "import pictures." It worked fine then. Now on Windows 10, it insists on using the new "Photo" app, which feels outdated and frustrating. I’d rather use the traditional method—just opening the window and clicking import directly, without needing the Photo app or any extra software. I’m not sure if that’s feasible, but I’d love to hear any suggestions from others.
That is actually harder than the option we have right now, which i described. Which.. seems to work at the moment, anyways. There are a bunch of options, but the only "usable" import option really is the Photo app. Although i would prefer to use the like "Windows Explorer" kind of importing, which was actually easier and.. well, more automatic, even, than this Windows 10 option.
