It's about using a school computer. If you attempt to run an OSx virtual machine, it might work, but it’s not worth your effort. For professionals or advanced users, Adobe remains the standard, though Final Cut Pro X (or 7 if available) is great. Sony Vegas is also widely used.

The response remains unchanged since it applies regardless of whether PC or Windows is considered. Hackintosh isn't Windows.

For options, Adobe offers its top products. Avid is set to release a free media composer version soon. Sony provides a film production tool (possibly in Vegas).
