Hey there. Recently, I bought a case named The Beast from MonsterLabo. It’s designed for fans off, which is why the photo shows 0 fan speed. I reduced my 1080 TI’s clock speed after installing it, but after some gaming sessions, it starts to stutter badly. When I used MSI Afterburner, the best safe voltage I could hit without crashing was 1923 MHz @ 921 mV, but now it still stutters even at that setting. I think the issue might be related to GPU temperatures, which stay around 78°C. Anyone know what’s happening or if there’s a reliable way to bring the temps down? Thanks in advance.

I can place fans inside the case, though I was mainly looking for advice on lowering temperatures through voltage adjustment.

Without a fan on the GPU, the best approach is to reduce the power limit with afterburner, though this may affect performance. Running at 78°C is generally not a major concern. The stutter or instability might stem from underclocking the card. Consider lowering the clock speed instead? Does the issue disappear with default settings?

I reached the 78-degree point and the stutter began. I thought the temperature, though a bit high, wasn't that extreme enough to trigger stuttering. I’m curious if my GPU is still functioning properly.

Running at a standard frequency like 1800 MHz instead of the higher 1923 MHz can significantly improve performance and stability.

I'm not familiar with Mhz at all—it's a factory overclocked GPU. I was adjusting its temperature settings in Afterburner and then checked the Overclocking section in NZXT Cam. I changed the temperature limit and everything worked. Now I'm using two programs to manage its thermal performance. I’d love to learn more about overclocking and undervolting, but I’m not sure where to begin.

It's good to hear that! You can tweak the temperature range in afterburner, as it's connected to power limits by default. You're free to separate them if needed. No CAM required—just whatever setup suits you best.

Thanks! I appreciate the information. While I prefer CAM’s simple interface, Afterburner seems more versatile overall. I did need to lower the MHz to about 1800, but my games still run smoothly. I’m looking forward to learning more as I upgrade from my 1080 TI to a 4070 or 4080 and likely need to undervolt them.
