Yes, you can obtain an official macOS image file without using a Mac. You can download it from Apple’s official website or use authorized resellers that provide verified images for Windows users. This ensures compatibility and security.

You must use a Mac to reach the App Store. Even then, asking someone with a Mac to install it wouldn’t work because the licensing rules block it to non-Apple devices.

This involves bypassing restrictions, so the Dortania instructions can help you obtain macOS and set it up (assuming your system meets the requirements).

However, some laptops are capable of handling it well, while others require additional effort, and a few simply can't manage it.

To get macOS, you must own a Mac. If not, it’s like buying pirated software, no matter if the files are accessible. The same rule applies to all other purchases—just because something is available doesn’t mean it’s free from piracy.

You can boot from a Mac OS bootable drive using APFS on your SSD, but you’ll need to set up the drive correctly. It won’t work out of the box without any additional configuration.

You can find ready-made installers online that fit most systems. If those don’t suit, you’ll have to create an OpenCore installation media yourself, which can be quite challenging. I’ve mainly relied on preloaded options from sources like Hackintosh Zone.

You can't simply restart it since the .app file is treated as an installer. You'll need to follow the installation steps provided in that folder.

Getting the .app file isn't working because you'll need a specific modified kernel and kexts (among other things) to even start the installation. I suggest checking out a reputable Hackintosh forum or community—they usually have more knowledgeable members who can help. Try searching for "Hackintosh" on Google; it should show up as the top result. Here, we don't have a large or active Hackintosh community, and many people are still unfamiliar with how their systems function. This situation also raises concerns about engaging in unauthorized MacOS usage.

You can find the links for most macOS versions by searching online and then visiting the App Store page on Apple’s site. Make sure you have a Thunderbolt drive available. Visit an Apple Store, ask if they can help you download it using one of their computers. They should be understanding and willing to assist. Good luck!
