Looking for an iMac suitable for Minecraft, with options for recording and editing. I checked Best Buy and they suggest the Apple iMac MF883LL/A 2.7 GHz. My budget is around $1,000.

For 1,000 you receive little. A laptop is more sensible, though a used G4 or a custom build would work too.

It seems you're questioning the value of building a computer. Let me know if you'd like to explore that idea further!

It seems you're considering a high-end setup with a 27-inch iMac, GTX 780M graphics card, and the most powerful i7 processor. Are you curious about whether Apple plans to include the GTX 980M in future Mac models?

You should find help online or at a local tech store. Don’t worry, fixing things is possible!

Don't go for it. If you're planning to invest $1000 in a gaming and editing PC, craft your own machine—one that avoids overheating (cough cough). We can assist you with that. Do you know what you could assemble for that price? It could be a powerful setup. You're in good hands.

Every manufacturer offers customer support that’s significantly easier than Apple’s. Just send in your faulty component, and most cases are resolved quickly—around 99% of the time. PC components usually include a long warranty period, whereas Macs require you to purchase their own coverage.

Skip the iMac and create a superior machine at a much lower cost.
