Recently I added a PAE patch to my MacBook 11, using Windows 8.1 on macOS Bootcamp. This modification allows running more than 4GB of RAM on a 32-bit operating system. I chose 32-bit because the Mac GPU is a Radeon HD 4670, and 64-bit drivers didn’t work there. I suspect the issue won’t be resolved since support has stopped. Once I installed Windows Edge via an update, I accidentally deleted it. After updating, the PAE patch started automatically repairing itself. I assumed everything was fine until I tried to boot from the CD-ROM drive. The system asked me to repair my PC, but the keyboard wouldn’t respond. When I used a fresh Windows installation, it worked, but the keyboard didn’t function when I pressed any key to boot from the disk. I’m now stuck.
