I'm using a fresh PC for myself.
The upcoming March marks my birthday and I’m upgrading my PC. It’s late to purchase but I truly need it. My existing setup includes:
iMac 2013 21.5 inch
Processor
Intel Core i5 (2.7 GHz)
Graphics
Intel Iris Pro 5200
Memory
8 GB DDR3
Storage
1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive
Display
21.5-inch LED-backlit, 1920 x 1080
Ports
4 x USB 3, 2 x Thunderbolt, SD card
I’m installing Windows 10 on a 1TB SSD externally. It works for everyday tasks, but since I’m mainly a casual gamer (max one hour play per day) and stream with Emby, these specs aren’t ideal. I’m searching for a Mini PC that meets these needs:
1:
Must include 32GB DDR4 or 5 with upgrade potential.
2: Upgradeable storage.
3: Oculus port for future AAA gaming.
I’m not keen on connecting multiple monitors; it will only be linked to one. Intel is recommended for movie transcoding, but AMD seems better for gaming—confused. My budget is about £700, though I could stretch to £1000, and I also need a new monitor. Thanks all.
