I'm unable to start Windows, only access it through the BIOS after setting up the new MOBO.
Hello everyone, I recently purchased an MSI Z490 Tomahawk with an i7 10700KF and two 8 GB RAM modules. After connecting everything and turning on the PC, I managed to enter BIOS but couldn’t proceed further. I’ve tried numerous settings without success, having spent about seven hours trying but still facing issues. My WD HDD has a BBS Priority option that some users found helpful, though I don’t have access to it. Could anyone assist me?
Do you have a brand new drive or are you trying to start an older hard disk?
Great job on reading this! It helped me set up a new CPU and GPU combo to boot into Windows on my old SSD from the previous build. I turned on CSM in BIOS, enabled UEFI and Legacy drives, and was able to view all my HDDs/SSDs with proper boot settings. Thanks!
