CPU model is i9 12900k, GPU is Asus Tuf 3080 OC, stock memory is Asus Tuf z790 Plus. System runs Windows 11 64bit with Fulla audio software and Steel Series Sonar audio. Recently, my microphone stopped functioning properly—initially it worked in games but became weak and eventually stopped completely. I've updated drivers, tried BIOS version 4101, but the error persists. I'm considering a fresh Windows install or switching to Realtek audio, though results remain inconsistent.

Yes, I removed the .CAP extension from the archive.

It might be one of two scenarios. First, consider the tool you're using for extracting from the zip file—Windows built-in extraction may struggle with ASUS archives; try WinRar, WinZip or another program. Second, verify that the BIOS file name has been updated to its correct version using the renamer utility included in the archive.

I resolved the issue with the incorrect file download. Appreciate the assistance. No more problems with the Windows extractor or renaming files. Now I just need to learn how to get my microphone working.

Are both mics linked via USB or 3.5mm into the soundcard? It might be a weak power supply if it's USB and many other USB devices are connected. If that’s the case, try removing USB devices one by one and see if the mic works. You can also test them on another computer. Bring them along to a friend to check if you have a backup. This should help identify the problem.

I used my new mic and game headset on a spare PC with 3.5mm connectors. Both worked with Realtek audio, but they didn’t function properly. I’ll keep testing.
