Dear Forum members, I’m truly at a loss here. This is likely my final chance for assistance. The situation unfolded on August 28th. I recently purchased a new gaming PC – an ASUS TUF505DU/D (the last two letters are unknown). Here are its details: Ryzen 7 3750H, 8GB RAM, 512GB storage, M.2 Samsung SSD GTX 1660Ti, 6GB RAM.

The issue I’m facing is persistent BSOD errors that occur regardless of usage—whether playing games, streaming, writing, or just keeping the system idle. The error code consistently reads “Thread_stuck_in_device_driver.” I’ve tried everything possible, searched everywhere, but nothing seems to help.

I’ve collected several crash reports and images of the BSOD, and when I bring the device in for repair, they simply say, “We’re sorry, but we couldn’t diagnose the problem.” This has happened multiple times—seven times in total.

Right now, I’m stuck at my desk, weighing options. I’m considering filing a lawsuit against Asus for their poor customer service and handling of this matter. I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions you might have to resolve this issue. It’s been nearly four months since I’ve had a functional daily driver, and I’m confident the problem isn’t mine.

Asus, I’m deeply disappointed.

that's a mobile chip example of what you tried? also when the blue screen occurs does it show you the device that failed, and if it doesn't does it display a sys file? like for example a screen like "this is what went wrong: example.sys". if you have that file you can see what exact device caused the problem. it's possible your gpu/ssd/ram is faulty and that it's not an issue with the board at all. and again, the cpu you listed is a mobile chip not designed for desktop motherboards.

that's a mobile chip example of what you tried? also when the blue screen occurs does it show you the device that failed, and if it doesn't does it display a sys file? like for example a screen like "this is what went wrong: example.sys". if you have that file you can see what exact device caused the problem. it's possible your gpu/ssd/ram is faulty and that it's not an issue with the board at all. and again, the cpu you listed is a mobile chip not designed for desktop motherboards.

If everything else doesn't work, perform a fresh installation of Windows. It seems you've already attempted that. Consider using a different GPU if available, and if the issue persists, they likely can't resolve it—why are you placing the blame?

1. It's a laptop, so of course it will be a mobile chip 2. No it doesn't, it only shows me the error code thread_stuck_in_device_driver 3. I have tried: -reinstalling Windows completely, multiple times -removing, then installing drivers -updating drivers -searching windows update for any possible updates (with no luck) -Bios updated -checked performance in games if anything is bottlenecking, the answer is no, yet I can barely push 40-60 FPS in Rainbow 6 on minimal settings, when I was able to play on ultra 80FPS on a machine half this strong, even though my CPU and GPU are sitting at about 80% both -set laptop to performance mode, everywhere I could

Well It's a completely new machine, if they can't fix it, why wont they exchange it, or give me my money back, as I have requested numerous times already?
