I initially thought it would be a fun project to bring an older operating system back online, not as my primary system, but to gain a sense of nostalgia like driving a classic car. You take it out for a ride now and again. Today I'm using a contemporary PC with Windows 11 24H2 and the latest Office applications and games. I've spent 35 years in this industry as both a builder and gamer, yet I stay current with today's technology.
Just wanted to see if I could run Windows 7 in today's online world. Obviously, it isn't feasible to rely on it every day. It's similar to taking a vintage car out for a spin and then putting it away in the garage. Cheers.
And newer systems with additional capabilities add complexity to enhance usefulness, requiring further learning to utilize all features. The game bar, for instance, was not available in Windows 8 but is present in Windows 10, just like the phone link.
