Regardless of the platform (Discord, Edge, games, Steam), they experience crashes. This issue started after updating my PC's hardware. I used an Asrock Z690 Extreme 12600kf with 4 DIMMs, 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM (two sets slightly mismatched but same specs), STRIX 2060S and many random drives. Initially, I believed corrupted data from old drives caused the problem. Reinstalling Windows didn’t help. Then I reset the PC, tried formatting with a bootable drive, and installed Windows 10, but it froze during driver installation. I’m just trying to play games and need assistance.

How's your collection of random HDDs looking? I'm sure they need at least a SATA SSD to start up, especially with that 12600kf model acting up. It might help to run a simple memory test—just search for Windows Memory Diagnostic in the Start Menu and launch it. There are more sophisticated options available, but the built-in one usually works well for most systems unless you're pushing them to extreme overclocks.

The installation media for that Windows 10 is quite old. If it's older than 21H1, you need to make a fresh installation USB. Earlier versions can't handle the Adler Lake feature. The best option might be Windows 11.

I just installed Windows 11 media last night, so I thought checking forums would give me some insights.

there are several components that are quite outdated, including a 500gb M.2 boot drive, a 500gb SSD, a 1tb HDD, and a 4tb HDD. I ran a memory test before switching to Windows last time and it detected issues, so I should reach out to the manufacturer for help.

Run a comprehensive memory check using PassMark Memtest86. Evaluate overall performance and then assess each RAM module separately.

You should pause the test and attempt one adjustment at a time.

Observe the signs of your inconsistency. Verify each component separately. Is XMP activated too?

The RAM used two versions of the color palette at 3000mhz, though one set was from a couple of years prior. It’s unclear if they changed the design, but I removed the older pair and the testing is nearly complete with no errors.
