Review your previous messages thoroughly. That was the main goal.

They aren't. Even with 2933MHz memory (which isn't required), you could still lower the clock speed.

Lol, you're doing a great job. Most of the issues seem to come from the motherboard and memory kits rather than Intel's chips. It’s not really the company’s fault—mostly people with limited knowledge or misguided advice end up getting lower performance. Research shows that even smart folks can make mistakes if they don’t ask the right questions.

Avoid purchasing non-Z boards for performance-focused setups. That's the main takeaway. You'll consistently find affordable Z boards when you need quick RAM for a mid-range processor or even a locked CPU. In reality, my wife's configuration matches this approach—a locked 8700 paired with a budget Z-board just to boost RAM speed over the 2666 model.

Comet Lake's IMC tends to be the highest among current-generation CPUs, especially for mainstream consumer models. This is likely why many discussions get exaggerated without proper context. The 2020 backlash against Intel also plays a role in how some people overreact, leading to misinformation on forums.

I believe the prices are fairly aligned between Intel and AMD. It seems AMD's 3D performance isn't exceptional. Many users are considering stock builds, and overclocking feels less appealing. Intel delivers solid improvements through overclocking, whereas AMD offers better value. AMD lets you enable XMP for enhanced performance, while Intel requires separate steps like CPU OC and Cache OC. Intel's 14nm architecture is nearing its safe consumer limits, and I doubt we'll see an 11th Gen there. At least I hope so. Generally, Intel has become stagnant—same CPU design for years, and each new release demands a new chipset. Most boards stick to just two generations. AMD, however, promises four generations on a single chipset (B450), making it attractive for incremental upgrades.

Intel might benefit from slightly lowering prices or offering additional value. Their i5-10600k model costs about $330 with a cooler compared to $160 for the 3600, and $275 for the 3700x. This presents a challenge for many users seeking modest performance improvements with mid-range GPUs at 1440p, especially since gains are minimal in 1080p or low refresh rates. If the chip included better cooling or was priced lower, recommendations would improve. Even with good cooling, the $280 price tag versus $160 remains a significant difference, representing roughly a 75% jump for only about 15-20% better performance under normal conditions.

The discussion centers on Intel's stable position rather than any struggles. The desktop segment is relatively small, with 55% belonging to the Client Group. This group encompasses a wide range of devices including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. While desktop sales don't match the growth of mobile, the Client Group remains focused on other areas. This reflects straightforward business strategies rather than challenges.
