hello everyone, i've created this account because, well, i’ve tried my best... minecraft remains the slowest game i play (you’re all my last option). i’ve faced this problem on my older laptop too, so i upgraded to a new machine with an rtx3060 and a ryzen 7 6800h, plus 16gb ram. my setup is solid—no issues there. still, the lag in minecraft keeps happening. i’ve enabled the mux switch, used the rtx 3060 directly with my 8-core ryzen, and played vanilla minecraft with only optifine (no shaders). i’m getting a max of 25fps, but chunk render distance is about 14 chunks, graphics set to "fast." that’s all for 25 fps? i restarted and started fresh—still no luck. i’ve tried nearly every fix listed online, yet people keep asking me to fix my pc. it’s frustrating because my framerate stays around 15-30%, gpu usage is always over 95%, and my cpu stays busy but minecraft never caps. it used to run smoothly a few days ago with 100fps! now it’s completely unplayable due to massive lag. what’s going on?

Hello, I’m not a specialist, but I can try to assist you. Have you purchased or downloaded the game using tools like TLAUNCHER?

I hold the official rights to the game and launch it via the genuine Minecraft installer.

I use an SSD or HDD for the game, and my RAM specifications are as follows.

the nvme ssd paired with gen 4 pcie and ram at 4800mhz 16gb dual channel worked well recently, maintaining smooth performance even at over 100 fps.

That's feasible, though I'm completely unsure about it...

Optifine has a noticeable impact, especially when adjusted for in-game video settings.

Consider using a live USB to install a Linux distribution and test it immediately. If the setup succeeds, it likely points to a hardware problem rather than a software one.

I'm using the newest OptiFine version with the most recent update.
