I'm really struggling right now... (MOBO problem)
Hello everyone. This will be a detailed explanation, but please understand. I recently bought an ASUS TUF Gaming x570 plus Wi-Fi board along with a Ryzen 3700X CPU to enhance my system. I replaced all components, powered it up, and updated the BIOS through USB. After restarting, I saw the white "VGA" LED and green "Boot" LED, but there was no display output. I tried various troubleshooting steps. When I updated the BIOS, it seemed the update might have been corrupted. I contacted ASUS for a return, and after receiving the new board, it immediately lit up the LEDs on first power. However, I couldn’t get into the BIOS settings. Now I’m worried that my GPU (RX 5700XT) might be damaged... I removed the board to check.
I built a makeshift test setup using an older processor R7 2700X and a GTX-660 from the storage area. The modified board worked perfectly, but I saw a warning message saying "this GPU not supported, CSM settings have now been changed." That made sense since it’s a GTX660. Eventually, I rebuilt my system with the original board, CPU, and GPU, and everything functioned normally. Now I’m convinced the issue lies with the MOBO. I’m really grateful my GPU is still operational despite this, but I’m completely confused about what’s causing the problem with these boards and my working parts. Any suggestions would be appreciated?
