My father has an old all-in-one HP that makes a lot of noise. What options are there to fix it or make it quieter? The CPU seems to be fine but still noisy. If you replace it with a new one, could that help? Also, the motherboard is AAHD3-NK (Angelino2-UB) and the A6-3620 chipset might work better with a quieter system.

Remove the old components, apply fresh thermal paste, and swap out the fan. It’s quite simple to do. Make sure to detach the Wi-Fi dongle before removing the back cover, otherwise it might get damaged.
