Using the correct size screwdriver makes a big difference. Apply enough pressure without damaging the threads, keeping the angle between the MoBo and the screwdriver at 90 degrees. If a larger tool doesn't fit, you'll need to replace the screw. It's best to complete these steps once and correctly, particularly when no spare parts are included with the MoBo.
Choose a screwdriver that fits the Torx shape, test its effectiveness by applying gentle pressure. If needed, pair it with a rubber band or cyanoacrylate glue for better grip. Remember this as a reminder to always use the right tools.
In case things don’t go as planned, you can try a screw extractor instead. If the previous options fail, that works too.
Use a larger Philips screwdriver and apply moderate pressure, try to remove the final pieces from the head. If successful, the screw is out.
