Hello everyone, my build details are: MB- AsRock z270extreme 4 RAM 2x8 HyperX fury 3000mHz GPU, Palit GTX1080TI CPU, I7 7700k. I'm experiencing problems with COD MW Warzone, especially hitting the 120 FPS mark even at low graphics settings, and maintaining steady 144 FPS. I think this configuration shouldn't struggle to reach that frame rate. Any advice or checks you recommend would be appreciated. Thanks.

It hasn<|pad|>'s settings, it's exactly what came with it. I customized my CPU but didn't see any change, so I just adjusted it back.

Check your drivers, chipset, and BIOS for the latest updates. Are there any background apps or games active during playtime?

All users have the latest updates, but the chipset and BIOS are missing.

Update the chipset and BIOS first. Adjust background apps by searching in settings and turning them off, then disable unnecessary startup programs via Task Manager. Confirm whether your drive is an SSD or a traditional HDD.

I just verified the manufacturer's software updates, the chipset is up to date, the BIOS remains unchanged, and the game is functioning properly on a Samsung 970 with NVME.

Reviewing frame rates across systems with identical hardware. The 7700k combined with the 1080ti achieves around 120fps at 1080p in Warzone at full settings, with performance ranging from 98 to 148fps. This indicates a CPU limitation, as the Ryzen 5 3600 paired with the 1080ti delivers an average of 150fps at the same resolution. Reducing graphics settings won’t boost frames because the CPU remains the limiting factor. A significant jump in FPS after lowering settings would suggest a GPU bottleneck, which isn’t present here. For better performance, consider upgrading to a more powerful CPU. The Ryzen 5 3600 offers excellent value for its price, delivering comparable results to the 9700k at a lower cost.
