I’m planning to set up a virtual machine so you and your brother can play together on one computer. You mentioned a Ryzen 5 3600X with 16GB RAM at 3200MHz and an 2060S graphics card. Would that be sufficient for running a VM and having enough memory for both of you? You might need more RAM depending on the workload. It won't be the top performance, but with equal resources it should run on 3 cores and 8 gigabytes per user. You can test it out if you wish. One GPU isn't enough for more than one virtual machine. Edited July 22, 2020 by TofuHaroto

It wouldn't actually provide six cores for each person. Hyperthreading doubles the apparent processing power by creating virtual cores, but the physical cores remain the same. So you'd get more virtual cores, not a full doubling of hardware.
