his rig is a 14700k z790 max 4070ti. recently during gameplay, the computer stopped working without a BSOD. he checked with the store and was advised to adjust power settings in the OS or possibly replace the power button on the case. after two days, the issue recurs. what might be causing this? thanks.
The 980 Ti performs similarly to a 4070 Ti in terms of power consumption. It might be worth considering.
That's unusual, the current version listed is E7E07IMS.AE0 on the support page. I haven't noticed any updates yet, but I did come across a discussion on the MSI forums: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threa...fi.404803/
These models offer consistent IPC and overall performance gains with similar power levels. The 980 Ti delivers strong performance at 250W, reaching 260-265W with overclocking. The 4070 Ti provides a solid 285W capacity. The 5090 isn't a significant leap compared to the 4090—it mainly boosts power consumption and adds marginal speed. All these chips run on the same architecture, so with the upcoming RTX 6000 and TSMC 3nm process, we should see improved efficiency. That sounds pretty impressive!
