I recently wiped out my Windows folder and likely disabled the system drive. I attempted to reinstall Windows 11 25H2 on another drive using Rufus, but it failed to boot. The log file is attached. I'm really worried because everything should work now. The USB stick was split into two partitions—partition 1 isn't bootable by itself, while partition 2 seems to trigger the error. If I let BIOS boot directly into the USB without a single partition, it behaves like partition 2. I’d appreciate any assistance and feel free to share more details if needed.

Why not rely solely on Microsoft’s installer? You’re running into problems, so opt for the simplest route to check it works. Once confirmed, you can proceed with Rufus. At least get into the BIOS and set up boot from USB. Then follow the straightforward method Microsoft provided. After verifying everything functions, adjust or redo as needed. Avoid unnecessary complexity beyond what’s essential.

It might indicate you should consider switching to a more advanced operating system.

Consider what @Dedayog mentioned. You can use Microsoft’s bootable creator app or avoid splitting the stick into two partitions. This approach is common when people use Ventoy, which provides its own bootloader to access the Ventoy interface and choose the desired ISO. I’m not familiar with Rufus; I haven’t heard much about its performance with a partitioned USB drive.

MS-7025 is a 939 socket motherboard released in 2004. Using Microsoft's bootable creator won't work since the board and processor don't satisfy the minimum specs for W11.

It won't be able to boot into version 11 because essential instruction sets are missing.

The image appears to be MS-7D25, an MSI Pro Z690-A with DDR4. Installation of W11 should work smoothly using the Windows installation USB, which becomes ESD after setup.

I’m curious about the distinction and the reason behind the failure, but it seems to have worked fine. I was unaware Microsoft had a dedicated tool for this task—it makes sense. It appears adding unnecessary complexity is a pattern I follow. Appreciate your response.
