You probably have an app or driver that forces Windows to stop the update. To avoid reinstalling everything, consider removing all your installed programs.

Generate a bootable Windows 10 ISO using the media creation tool. Start the USB and upgrade via this method. If issues persist, check for Intel CPU compatibility and apply the provided fix. If not, consider performing a clean Windows 10 installation.

You can't upgrade from boot, so it won't function properly. For a clean setup, you'll need to format the hard drive afterward.

Sure, just let me know what you'd like rephrased or adjusted.

Hello, it’s important to note that reaching the newest release often requires a full system reset. This usually succeeds in most situations, but be cautious—on the initial Windows update you might encounter a blue screen because of driver problems. A warning has been issued: after version 1809, applying updates from 1909 appears to function, though earlier releases still face issues. This also affects certain servers attempting a complete upgrade from Windows 2008/2012 to 2016/2019, sometimes causing freezes or blue screens. Regards, Elsa Ballerina
