I'm having some issues with my motherboard and power supply.
Hello, good day. I’m trying to figure out if my new setup will work well with the motherboard and power supply I bought. In Brazil, things are quite pricey, so I need to be careful about spending. I’m planning to keep this configuration for a few years—maybe 4 to 5. Here’s what I have:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H DDR4 Socket AM4 with AMD A320 CPU
- Processor: Ryzen 5 2600
- Graphics: Galax NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super EX (1-Click OC), 6GB GDDR6 RAM
- Storage: 120GB SSD, HyperX Fury M.2 (Seagate 1TB, 7200rpm)
- Power Supply: 500W 80PLUS (Teclab certified, a reputable Brazilian brand)
I’m really hoping this will last and everything will fit together smoothly. Please let me know if you need any advice!
Ensure the BIOS on the motherboard allows the 2600 support; it will start properly. Give it a try and see if it works without damaging anything.
I’m not sure about going overclock your setup with those VRMs... I’d be cautious about adding a 6-core processor if I’m being honest. How reliable is this lab testing for circuit performance? There are poorly built PSUs that claim high power but can fail under stress.
