I accidentally stumbled upon Linus's mineral oil build video and saw the resolution jump to 4k. My TV/monitor supports 4k at 30Hz, but I never used it. I tried it out and it worked well! Then I thought about how my older system handles 4k games. Surprisingly, I managed 30fps with VSync enabled in STO and DCUO. When VSync was off, I got 40-50fps, but the screen quality dropped significantly. I was surprised it felt only slightly slower than 1080p at 120Hz. My main takeaway is that it looked amazing. Unfortunately, my usual 1080p at 120Hz settings now look poor. I know STO and DCUO aren’t powerful for graphics, so if anyone could recommend some free 4k content, it would be a huge help. No matter the genre, it’s just eye candy. Thanks ahead!

The team is quite enjoyable, yet demanding a lot of effort.

Prefer 1080p at 60+ frames per second over 4K at 30 FPS. Would switch if I could achieve 4K around 50 FPS.

I shared the same thoughts. The 39-inch screen made the resolution difference really clear. At the same time, going back to 1080p showed a noticeable improvement in frames and smoothness. Now I'm struggling with a decision. I'm using a TV, not a monitor, so I can't just set it to 2k at 60Hz or anything fancy.
