Hey there, let's chat about this. I've just upgraded my PC with new specs: CPU is Intel i7-14700KF, motherboard is Gigabyte z970 gaming, GPU is Gigabyte 3070ti, power supply is either 700w or 750w, RAM is DDR5 5200Mhz, and I'm using water cooling from Arctic Freezer II. I'm planning to run Windows 11 and mainly use CS2 for my main game.

Right now I'm seeing solid FPS, around 250-350 frames per second. But when I try to open the Steam overlay, everything feels sluggish. It takes a long time to load, and even simple actions like exiting the overlay can freeze my screen or cause delays. Yesterday, after pressing accept in a game, my screen would freeze completely, making it impossible to vote or move between maps. I ended up closing the game through Task Manager.

I finished that game without too many issues, but the overlay problem remains. My second concern is playing relaxing games like Palworld. I'm having trouble with loading videos—my second monitor stutters even though the progress bar shows I've downloaded the file. When I try to play, it lags, then suddenly loads normally on the second game. The Steam overlay also causes issues in Palworld.

I get good FPS in games but struggle with multitasking or streaming on Steam. It's frustrating because I can play smoothly without problems, yet I can't enjoy my experience when things slow down unexpectedly.
