I'm using a splitter for my headset on my PC, but it only picks up my input through the built-in mic when I disconnect the output (speakers on the headset). The same issue occurs in reverse. I've searched extensively for a solution, and there are essentially no results available, making this my final hope.

When I connect just the headphones, they function properly, but once the headphones are unplugged, the device starts detecting the microphone. It seems like it's picking up both the mic and the speakers as an output, and I'm not sure what to do about it.
