Hello,
I've been experiencing CTDs for a few months now, beginning in February. At first it was limited to KCD2, but later it appeared in other games like BG3 and the first KCD game as well. I can't reproduce the issue—it occurs when entering dialogue, opening a map, changing tabs or switching outfits (especially in KCD2). It usually happens after ten to twenty minutes, and sometimes unpredictably.

I previously played a BG3 run without any CTDs, and the first KCD game also worked fine. Only the crashes remain; everything else functions normally. There are no freezes or stutters—just a CTD. Both KCD2 and BG3 are installed on an internal SSD, while KCD1 is on a HDD. All of them have had CTDs except one very old game.

I've checked the GPU drivers, performed an SFC scan, reset to default GPU settings, and used a diagnostic tool to test the CPU—all passed. A 3D check showed no unusual GPU activity. I opened the case and confirmed the wiring is intact. There seem to be other factors I haven't considered yet. At first, I thought it might be a problem with just one game.

My system specs are: 64GB RAM, ASUS RTX 4090, 13th gen Intel i9-13900k, 1200w Corsair PSU, running Windows 10 version 2009.

I'm running out of ideas and need further help...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
On win10 v2009
That's 20H2, you have pending updates for your OS. Maybe install Windows 11 on an empty spare drive and check if the problem improves.
I've attempted changing GPU drivers (most complaints involve black screens, but I tried it).
Using DDU to remove all GPU drivers?
Only the game crashes, everything else works fine.
Where do you get the installer for the game?
You didn't mention your motherboard's make and model. Also, include the BIOS version for that board.
I have 64GB RAM
Do you have a link to the RAM kit?

I don't know if I removed the old drivers, but it seems I might have installed DDU. I'll try again.
