So im making a private server for few people. I was doing all right until the server didnt want to open. It would open for a second and then it closed. It doesn't connect to the requested port. Is there another instance using that port? Have you changed the settings and introduced any errors? Make sure you include the relevant sections of configuration.yml.

It seems a process is already assigned to port 25565. Only one Minceraft instance may operate on that port at once. For additional servers, use ports 25566 or 25567.

From the log, it seems they included a URL and port in that area, likely tied to a local IP rather than a public address. Based on the user's last statement, they suspect the connection might not work and they hope we can get in touch via Discord instead.

Valid point. I think both are parts of the problem, the binding already being taken and the local IP address not specified to bind the server to locally. If they expect us to go on Discord to help them, they're sadly mistaken I usually browse this site from work during a break and whatnot.

Which port? No one is utilizing it. Also, the server intended to start when I deleted the custom IP.

Yep, that's the idea. You should use the router's WAN IP to connect to your network, not to launch the server itself. The server will be hosted locally—likely on 192.168.x.x—and you'll need to forward a port on your router to access it. This works best for home setups.

These are the current properties of your server. Broadcast console to ops is enabled, query handling is disabled, player idle timeout is set to zero, difficulty is easy, spawning monsters is allowed, and broadcast range covers 100%. Snooper mode is active, status updates are shown, command blocking is off, maximum players allowed is 15, network compression threshold is 256, resource pack SHA1 is max-world-size=29999984, hardcore is disabled, status is enabled, and the server runs on the default level. Command blocks are not restricted, and online mode is active. The server IP is linked directly to your address.
