Ugh, Ryzen is really pushing Intel's limits. I was worried about the R7 3700X. The R7 5800X infinity fabric could reach 2GHz—might need a faster RAM if I upgrade to it. Right now I’m at 3200, but higher speeds might be necessary depending on the processor.

You’d likely see a small gain (around two percent) but it’s not a solid win. Spending the ram budget on a 5900x would give better results than a 5800x.

It's good to have 16 cores, but they might not be ideal for your Core 500 setup with heavy 3D work and printing.
