It's a fine gaming pc, I have one
I have a 3800x but really wouldn't suggest it over the 3700x unless the price difference is small.
I run an x570 Asus TUF, 3800x, 3200 MHz memory and 2070S. And it's very smooth at 1440p.
Capable of playing nearly all games without difficulty, achieving 60 frames per second at 1440p resolution.
I possess a solid gaming computer, and I own one. My processor is a 3800x, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it over the 3700x unless there’s a minor price discrepancy. I utilize an x570 Asus TUF motherboard with a 3800x, 3200 MHz RAM, and a 2070S graphics card, resulting in exceptionally smooth performance at 1440p resolution.
I selected the Ryzen 3800X due to its price matching the 3700X. However, I ultimately chose Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz RAM instead. The 750W power supply was unavailable, so I purchased an 850W unit. I'm anticipating the components will arrive by the first of the month, hoping everything is delivered successfully.
I obtained the 3800x through a Micro Center promotion; it’s a respectable processor, though usually overpriced compared to the 3700x. Ensure your cooling solution maintains temperatures at a low level to prevent overheating, and the included Wraith cooler is serviceable but inadequate under heavy use. My Ryzen-based system runs exceptionally smoothly and offers fast performance, a fact I appreciate after decades of gaming. You’ll likely find it quite satisfying.
